Our beds are constructed using traditional joinery methods. The headboard and foot-board are one piece unless specified. The panels are spline-jointed and are connected to the posts with mortise and tennon joints. For homes with tighter staircases these pieces can be constructed to where the posts can be taken off. We use traditional bed bolts to secure the rails to the posts. Beds can be made with box springs or platform. Due to the weight of our drawers we are unable to put them under the bed.
Pencil Post
Our pencil post beds can be made with a canopy when specified. Several headboard designs are available.
Bookcase Headboards
Bookcase headboards can be made in different styles. The first bed design was made for a gel type mattress. Platforms are also available. Backs are made from the same wood as the rest of the bed and pegged on. They cannot be removed. Drawers are hand-cut dovetails.
Low Poster Beds
Different styles of headboards are available. Beds can be made higher or lower to the ground.
